On spyware doctor it says i have 84 infections, and if i want to remove them i have to get a registered version. Spybot doesn’t pick them up, so does anyone either have a registered version or can you tell me how to remove it.(or a good adware remover that is free)
Thanks.
i dont get any popups, but my internet explorer crashs easily (it crashed from speedtest)

I came home one day and found an icon blinking in my tray with a message that states "System detected a number of active spyware applications that may impact the performance of your computer. Click the icon to get rid of unwanted spyware by downloading an up-to-date antispyware solution." I clicked on the icon, but nothing happened. I used spybot which is really good and first it found some applications and I deleted them and when I ran it again, it stated none was found. However, the icon in my try is still blinking and the same message is still showing. I would really appreciate someone with great computer knowledge to assist me with this problem.

I can only start my computer in safe mode because every time I start in regular mode I get the blue screen of death. I would rather not wipe my computer so if someone has a solution please share it. Thanks!

I’ve heard from other people that some things will conflict with Norton and cause all kinds of nightmarish problems.

Ok, one month ago, i picked up an adware program called Outerinfo.
It uses Internet explorer to put pop ups onto my computer.
I recently switched to mozilla firefox, got spybot, and have mcafee and fix-it utilities as virus scanners.
Since i started using FireFox, i still got ads from IE, all from outerinfo.
Fix-it has picked up multiple trojans recently, which i delete quickly. Spybot has removed things like: ie.firewall.bypass
mcafee just says that my gamespy stuff is adware -.-
I delete outerinfo using search, however, each time i am unable to delete something, be it a cookie, or a program.
Eventually, the program comes back.
Before i began really searching for it, it would spam with one ad every once in a while, now it has progresed to about 3-4 ads at once.
I know i cant delete IE, and I want to avoid reformatting if i can help it.
Any tips on any scanners beyond what i have?(free of course) or how to remove this program?
Thanks for reading this, I know its long.
Help is welcome.

It says things have been quarantined, and i click remove, but when I restart the computer, and scan again, the same things are there. Am I doing something wrong, or not doing something?

I use Norton for general virus protection, but a malicious downloader spyware snuck through, and got Ad-Aware on top of the Norton protection for added spyware security. Are these good? Are there better products?

I got a bunch of spyware. I want a free program that removes it entirely, not a program that just scans my computer. my computer’s running really slow and I’m tired of it. i play wow and I lag out all the time. my pc used to be great. i’d never lag on anything.

I need a program that is completely free. Free scan and free removal. I have found a lot that have free scans but then you have to pay to have the viruses removed. I’m hoping for something that is free all the way around.

Somehow my computer got infected with this adware program. I think it is called OnWebMedia. Ever since it has been on my computer, my machine has been running slower and I’ve been getting pop-up ads. Does anyone know how to get rid of this garbage?

I have tried downloading a spyware detector at cnet but couldn’t get it to download, they just sent me in circles going to the same site and didn’t tell me how to check it. Shouldn’t it be like the anti-virus check, where you have it check it for you?
