My computer has been getting a lot of pop-ups lately. I did a little digging around in my computer and I think that this program called Verticity is to blame. Is there anybody out there who can help me get rid of it?

I just wanted to know what you think. What would be the ideal combination of security programmes that would not make your computer suffer. Here is the list.
1. ZoneAlarm
2. ZoneAlarm Pro
3. ZoneAlarm Internet Security
4. Norton Antivirus 2006
5. Pc-Cillin
6. Windows Defender
7. AVG
8. McAfee
9. BitDefender
10.Norton Internet security
11.Trend Micro Internet Security
12. Spybot
13. Ad-Aware
14. Windows Live One Care
I can’t think of more…please feel free to add any programme you know that will make a STABLE and VERY SAFE system. Basically need:
1. Good Antivirus
2. Superb Firewall
3. Killer Spyware Killer!
MY Opinion, Zonealarm Basic, BitDefender, and Windows Defender. What do YOU think about this?
SYSTEM MUST RUN SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH!
10 points to the best Combo! STATE REASONS FOR CHOICE!!
THANKS!
OK….let’s say MONEY WAS NOT A PROBLEM.
What would you chose then.
I know a few of those i put up are free. I think ZoneAlarm Basic does justice. BUT I think AVG just is BAD. BitDefender is VERY Cheap (US$ 11.00 / year) and so far…is great!
Maybe i should say i am running BitDefender, windows defender, spybot, adaware, & ZoneAlarm Pro.. I want to know what i can do without! So what to add…uninstall?

I had one that was called Ad Aware SE but when I ran my new Norton Security it took it off and I no longer can find it on the web. It worked great and my cable company helped me put it on my computer. If I could find how to install it again even that would be fine. My computer really slows down without it. Thanks!

I’ve recently reformatted my laptop and was hoping to build a good defense for it. I’ve got an older version of Nod32 that still updates as an anti-virus without the spyware protection so I’m asking what would be a good free anti-spyware program to couple with Nod32.

I have tried the normal control panel add/remove process, it is disabled by bestoffer. They claim to offer uninstall progam, called TBONUinst.exe for download, that is bogus. No such program can be downloaded, it is blocked. Their site is redirected to "under construction" bogus site.

I recently visited wwe.com to read about the latest on the Benoit murder case, however I am aware that wwe.com is a haven for spyware and malware. My system has slowed considerably since I visited the site. Can anyone recommend a site which provides a free scan or cleanup utility?
I worry about finding one on my own because of the large number of bogus sites which actually increase the spyware of your system or charge you for phony cleanup.
Any computer experts have any ideas?

So I’m an idiot and I downloaded these two programs to help with my sluggish computer. Turns out that these programs are rogue programs that actually hurt my computer in the long run.
How do I remove them? I know I can’t just go to Add/Remove Programs to do it, so what is the full process to ridding these programs from my machine completely?
