I have the free edition of AVG anti virus it says it found them heals and removes them, but then the next day i get more? and also a good spyware one cuz im getting popups like crazy. I would rather not bring to a professional yet unless it gets worse.
My computer has been infected by Adware.AWS.A (10 issues left), Adware.VDM (4 issues left), and Trojan.PWS.Lineage.UZH (2 issues left). I ran BitDefender, Trendmicro Housecall, Ad-Aware 2007, Spybot, Windows Defender, Super Clean 4 but none of them can seem to remove the malware. Only BitDefender has been able to detect the 3 malware, but the program is unable to delete or quarantine or remove any of the them. I’ve tried running BitDefender in Safe Mode but the results were the same, I couldn’t delete them. So now I don’t know what to do to get rid of them. I feel as though my computer has been slowed significantly too. I have a HP dv8233cl Media Center Notebook PC, 2gb. RAM, 2 100gb Hard driver, Intel Centrino Duo T2300 1.66ghz. I have ran Hijackthis so if you can detect anything wrong please let me know how to get rid of it.

The spyware ad states the only way to get rid of the problem is to purchase their software. I downloaded "Trojan Removal", "Trojan Killer", and an anti-spyware from C/Net. However, this did not fix the problem.

Spyware Detector this one is from max secure and has been rated to remove 99% of all spyware is this true
The symptom is random new windows appearing as I use firefox. One of the pages that will open is a google jobs ad, another is a victorias secret ad and another is a facebook zoosk ad.
I’ve tried using spybot search and destroy and it has not fixed the problem.
Another symptom possibly unrelated is a hotebar.com opening up in a separate tab upon firefox starting. If anyone has any tips on what I can do that would be great. Thanks.

All the ones I’ve seen give me a free scan but to remove the spyware, I need to order the product.

My norton utilities has detected viruxz.dll, vwlummc.dll, Malware-wipe.exe, and Spyquake2.exe. I also cant get rid of the pop-ups and task bar annoyances.
I accidentally clicked a bad link through a phishing scam on AIM and now my laptop is very slow. I ran my virus scan and spyware detector but to no avail , both softwares did not pick anything up. how can i get my computer running back to normal.
I use NoAds Popup Killer and Ad-aware for spyware. All of a sudden I keep getting popup ads, so I go to manage add-ons and I see SelasI Class (not verified) is enabled. I keep disabling it, but it keeps coming right back.
I removed Spyware Protect 2009 off my computer because it was a rogue ant-spyware program, while it was on the computer the internet was normal, but now that I took it off, the internet is extremely slow to non-existent. My computer has been infected with spyware (again. ugh) and I still have the Malwarebytes installed from where i removed this the first time.
but now, the malwarebytes can’t find any infected files. When I used a more advanced scanner, it found a LOT. Which is probably why it keep coming back. But anyways…I need a good spyware removal program that’s free.
Anyone have any ideas?
